Visiting the Authentic Pizzeria “BOTTA” on Irabu Island 【Irabu Island Trip with Our 2-Year-Old】

We visited the authentic pizza place “BOTTA” during a family trip to Irabu Island!

It’s a proper pizzeria located right in front of Sawada-no-hama Beach.

You can enjoy pizza and shakes while looking out over the blue ocean and watching planes land on nearby Shimojishima.

You can also just drop in for a café-style visit, so it’s the perfect place to take a break.

Visiting the authentic pizza place “BOTTA” on Irabu Island

We went to the authentic pizza restaurant “BOTTA” on Irabu Island.

Here’s where “BOTTA” is located

It’s about a one-minute drive from Sawada-no-hama Beach.

Here are some photos of the restaurant

The car park is right next to the building.

Here’s what it looks like inside

The view from the counter seats is amazing!

Sawada-no-hama Beach spreads out right in front of you!

It happened to be low tide when we visited.

There are table seats as well.

Here’s the menu

This is the lunch set drink: “Sanpin tea” (Okinawan jasmine tea)

This is the “Puttanesca”

The thin, crispy base and fresh tomatoes were incredibly good!

The anchovies give it a really nice punch as well.

It is also delicious with a drizzle of olive oil or a dash of Tabasco.

This one is the “Boscaiola”

I was genuinely impressed by how many mushrooms were piled on top!

This is the “Cream Cheese and Chocolate Pizza”

Sweet and delicious—we finished it in no time.

This is the “Mango Shake”

The perfectly ripe mango was sweet and so tasty!

It is the perfect drink for the hot weather on Irabu Island.

Who I’d recommend this for

  • You want to have lunch at Sawada-no-hama Beach
  • You want to enjoy authentic pizza

That’s all for now.
